Upon arrival at Nelson Mandela International Airport, meet our team and enjoy a private transfer to your accommodation in Praia. During the journey, you will receive some initial information about your trip. The rest of the day is free to relax and begin settling into the rhythm of Cape Verde.
After breakfast, discover the Plateau, Praia's historic centre, passing its squares, historic buildings and local markets. Continue to Cidade Velha, the first European colonial city built in the tropics and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along historic Rua Banana, see the Pelourinho and learn about the history of the former Ribeira Grande before heading up to the São Filipe Royal Fortress. Return to Praia at the end of the visit.
Leave Praia for São Lourenço dos Órgãos, where a local family will welcome you for an experience dedicated to the traditions of Santiago. Take part in preparing traditional Cape Verdean cuscuz and discover some of the island's traditional dances. Continue to Assomada for a visit to the local market before heading up to Serra Malagueta, at around 1,000 metres above sea level. At the end of the day, descend towards Tarrafal.
Today, return to the Serra Malagueta region to explore one of Santiago's most important mountain areas on foot. Accompanied by a local guide, follow trails through mountains, agricultural valleys and small communities, discovering a greener and more rural side of the island. After the hike, return to Tarrafal and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure on the beach.
After the first few days of discovery, enjoy a more relaxed day in Tarrafal. Stroll through the town, watch the fishermen at work or simply enjoy its famous bay and beach. Additional activities can be arranged for those who would like a more active day.
Leave Tarrafal to discover Santiago's east coast. Travel through São Miguel, Pedra Badejo and Santa Cruz, passing through communities, agricultural areas and coastal landscapes. Continue to Praia and transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Fogo Island. Upon arrival, meet our team and transfer to your accommodation in São Filipe.
After breakfast, leave São Filipe and travel towards Chã das Caldeiras. As you climb, the landscape gradually changes until you enter the impressive volcanic caldera, dominated by Pico do Fogo at 2,829 metres above sea level. In Chã das Caldeiras, discover the community living inside the caldera and see lava landscapes that reveal the island's intense volcanic activity. Take a short and easy walk through the volcanic area, allowing you to admire Pico do Fogo and explore the lava formations up close without undertaking a demanding hike. The experience continues at the home of a local family, where you will learn more about life in Chã das Caldeiras and enjoy a tasting of traditional Manecom wine, produced locally from grapes grown in volcanic soils. Return to São Filipe in the late afternoon.
After breakfast, set off on a tour of Fogo Island, discovering the contrasts between the coast, agricultural areas and volcanic landscapes. Begin with São Filipe, one of Cape Verde's most beautiful historic towns, known for its traditional sobrados, quiet streets and views across the Atlantic towards neighbouring Brava. Continue around the island towards Mosteiros, one of Fogo's greenest and most fertile regions, where volcanic slopes contrast with coffee plantations, tropical fruit and other crops. Along the way, pass through small communities and experience the changing landscapes that characterise the island. The excursion continues to the Salinas on the coast, where you can appreciate the volcanic formations and Atlantic scenery. Return to São Filipe at the end of the day, completing the island tour.
According to the domestic flight schedule, transfer to the airport and continue your journey to São Vicente via Praia. Upon arrival, meet our team and transfer to your accommodation in Mindelo. The rest of the day is free to begin discovering the city at your own pace.
Begin by discovering Mindelo, including its historic centre, markets and places connected to the city's cultural life. Continue inland to Monte Verde, the highest point on São Vicente, before travelling through Salamansa, Baía das Gatas, Praia Grande and Calhau. Return to Mindelo at the end of the day.
Transfer to the port and take the ferry to Santo Antão. Upon arrival in Porto Novo, begin your journey along the famous Estrada de Corda, passing the Cova crater and the impressive Delgadinho viewpoint. Continue along the north coast to Fontainhas, a village built into the mountainside, before ending the day in Ponta do Sol.
After breakfast, leave Ponta do Sol for a full day discovering the valleys, villages and traditions of northern Santo Antão. Travel first towards Chã de Igreja and Cruzinha, small communities surrounded by mountains and close to the coast, with some of the most impressive scenery in this part of the island. Return towards Ribeira Grande and continue through the spectacular Xôxô Valley in Ribeira da Torre, known for its imposing mountains, plantations and small rural communities. Continue to the green Paul Valley, one of Santo Antão's most fertile agricultural regions. Here, visit a traditional distillery and learn about the artisanal process of transforming sugarcane and producing the island's famous grogue. After the visit, follow the spectacular coastal road through Janela, between mountains and ocean, until you reach Porto Novo. At the end of the day, take the ferry back to São Vicente. Upon arrival in Mindelo, transfer to your accommodation.
After several days exploring the islands, enjoy a completely free day in Mindelo. Stroll through the historic centre, visit the markets, enjoy the city's cafés and restaurants or simply relax by Laginha. Optional experiences can be arranged for those who would like to do more.

Throughout the day, different stops reveal the contrast between desert landscapes, small communities and almost untouched beaches. Return to your accommodation at the end of the excursion.
